Change to Whois Record Formats, 2017-03-01

The format of WHOIS records will be changed to comply with the Registry Registration Data Directory Services Consistent Labeling and Display Policy on March 1, 2017. This will affect all gTLDs, ccTLDs and SLDs on our main registry platform, with the exception of .com.de and .com.se, which use WHOIS record formats similar to those of their parent TLD.
Note: because it runs on a separate registry system operated by LANIC, .LA will not be affected. The format for .LA whois records will be changed in a separate process later in 2017.
Status of the Consistent Labeling and Display Policy
Although ICANN rescinded the CLDP following a Request for Reconsideration, the new formats for port-43 WHOIS records, and the “Do Not Implement Before” date of November 1, 2016, are not expected to change when the revised policy is published following the Public Comment Period.
Nature of the changes
After March 1, a number of fields will be renamed, and several new fields will be added. Some fields that are currently displayed even when there is no data in the database will not be shown unless data exist for them.
The changes will affect queries for domain names, nameservers, and registrars.
Testing
Those wishing to these their whois client implementations are directed towards the OT&E WHOIS service at ote-whois.centralnic.com, which already uses the new format.
.SE, who provide Pre-Delegation Testing (PDT) services to ICANN, have updated their Whois Selftest Tool which can be used to verify compliance with the CLDP. The OT&E Whois service mentioned above can be tested as follows:
